Kim Brown


Kim Brown is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. Kim came to Texas in 1987 to attend Baylor University where she earned an undergraduate degree in Business. She then attended South Texas College of Law where she served on the South Texas Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Lytae. Kim obtained her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1994.

Kim has over 20 years of experience representing those who are injured due to the negligent and wrongful conduct of others. She has worked on hundreds of civil litigation cases including general negligence, business disputes, insurance coverage issues, premises liability, products liability and FELA cases. Kim has experience both inside and outside of the courtroom. At her former firm, she worked with the trial team that represented Exxon in its Texas litigation against Lloyd’s of London over a coverage dispute involving the cleanup of the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Kim has written briefs, handled an extensive motion practice and worked on many appeals in State and Federal court.

Kim is a member of the Houston Bar Association, American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, State Bar College and Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and she has served on the Texas Trial Lawyer Board of Advocates where she was actively involved in membership, fund-raising and continuing legal education projects throughout Texas.
