Transvaginal Surgical Mesh Lawsuit

Vaginal slings and vaginal mesh are used to treat female urinary stress incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Stress urinary incontinence is a type of incontinence caused by a leakage of urine during moments of physical stress. Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when a pelvic organ, which includes the bladder, the uterus, the bowel, and the rectum, drops or “prolapses” from its normal position and pushes against the walls of the individual’s vagina. This can be caused when the muscles that hold the pelvic organs in place become weakened or stretch from childbirth or surgery.
