Spencer C. Shields is an experienced and seasoned litigator who joined The Potts Law Firm, LLP in the spring of 2010. Since his graduation from Washburn University Law School in 1996, Mr. Shields has conducted a plaintiff’s litigation practice in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Throughout his 14 years of trial work, he has garnered several sizeable plaintiffs’ verdicts, most coming in the defense friendly Johnson County District Court of Kansas.

He has been an active member of the following organizations:

• Kansas Association of Justice
• Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys
• State Bar of Kansas
• State Bar of Missouri

Mr. Shields will continue to handle a wide array of severe personal injury and workers compensation claims for our firm, in addition to medical malpractice and commercial litigation. He will also be helping to expand the Potts firm’s growing mass torts, pharmaceutical and medical defect MDL/class action practice. Mr. Shields acts “of counsel” to our firm and we are proud to have him aboard.
