Krystal was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Sam Houston State University, located in Huntsville, Texas where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and played softball. Following undergrad she moved to Houston and obtained her Paramedic license. After working as a paramedic for several years she obtained her juris doctorate from South Texas College of Law – Houston, graduating summa cum laude in 2019. During law school Krystal was the managing editor of Currents: Journal of International Economic Law, vice president of the Health Law Society, a Presidential Fellow, in the Order of Lytae, and a member of Phi Delta Phi.
