2,000 Properties to be Effected by 497 Mile Natural Gas Pipeline in Texas
On December 21st, Kinder Morgan Texas Pipeline (KMTP), DCP Midstream, and an affiliate of Targa Resources Corporation announced their plans to jointly build an approximately 497-mile-long natural gas pipeline stretching from the Waha Hub (near Coyanosa, TX) down to Agua Dulce. It will be comprised of 82 miles of 36-inch pipeline and 365 miles of 42-inch pipeline and will include an approximately 50-mile-long Midland Lateral portion. The company states that it will transport up to 1.92 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d).
The timeline so far suggests that construction is planned to begin this first quarter with the entire project in service by October 2019 after receiving the necessary regulatory approval. By our estimation, almost 2,000 properties are along the route with the potential of being affected.
If you receive any letters or notices, please reach out to The Potts Law Firm to discuss the options you have. There will be two town halls hosted by our eminent domain attorneys regarding the pipeline. The first will take place on March 20th at the Alice Parks and Recreation Center in Alice, TX. The second one will be held on March 22nd in Cotulla, TX at the Hampton Inn Cotulla. We will continue to follow this project and provide more information as it unfolds.
