Tampa Street Racers Kill Mother, Injure Daughter

A 24-year-old mother from Ohio, Jessica Reisinger, was killed in Tampa, Florida after being struck by a driver who was street racing. Ms. Reisinger was crossing Bayshore Boulevard near West Knights Avenue on May 23, 2018, at around 11:45 a.m. when the incident occurred. She was pushing her 21-month-old daughter, Lillia Raubenolt, in a stroller at the time she was hit. Reisinger’s daughter remains in critical condition at Tampa General Hospital and is not expected to survive.

Police have arrested three young men associated with the incident. Tampa authorities state Cameron Herrin, 18, was speeding with his 20-year-old brother, Tristan, who was in the passenger seat of his Ford Mustang. Racing alongside the boys was 17-year-old John Barrineau. Witnesses state both cars were switching lanes.

Cameron Herrin and John Barrineau are being charged with vehicular homicide, unlawful racing on a highway, and reckless driving with serious bodily injury. Tristan Herrin, 20, is charged with unlawful racing on a highway.
